The White House said that during the U.S.-China summit scheduled for the 14th, President Joe Biden will convey to Chinese President Xi Jinping a "constructive role" to help North Korea stop provocations.

White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said during a briefing on Air Force One's flight to Cambodia with President Biden on board on the 11th local time, "President Biden told President Xi that North Korea is not just for the United States, South Korea and Japan, but also for peace and stability in the region as a whole. "I'm going to tell you that it's a threat," he said.

"I will also convey that if North Korea continues on this path, it means that it will have no choice but to further strengthen the US military and security presence in the region," he said.

"So it's also in China's interest to play a constructive role in deterring North Korea's worst behavior," he added.
